Emotional Support Sessions
Facilitated by Camila Bouaza
The Emotional Support Sessions at The Grange offer calm, non-clinical spaces for reflection, listening and emotional steadiness within a community setting.
They are intended for adults who may be carrying stress, change or uncertainty, and who would benefit from being heard without pressure to explain, perform or resolve.
The sessions are held with care and clear boundaries. Whether in a group or one- to-one setting, the emphasis is on presence rather than problem-solving, and on support rather than fixing. Participants are free to speak, listen or simply sit quietly. Silence is welcomed, and there is no expectation to share more than feels comfortable or to reach conclusions.
These sessions are facilitated by Camila Bouaza, a trained psychosocial worker and therapeutic counsellor. Camila brings a grounded, relational approach rooted in attentive listening and emotional safety. Her role is to hold the space with steadiness and professionalism, allowing participants to feel contained, respected and less alone.
Camila has worked in community-based and frontline settings, supporting adults and young people through periods of emotional strain, transition and social disconnection. Alongside individual work, she has also facilitated group sessions and workshops focused on emotional awareness, self-esteem and regulation, always with close attention to boundaries and care.
She works bilingually in English and French and also speaks Arabic. Her background includes growing up in Montreal, with Algerian Berber and Moroccan heritage, bringing a culturally sensitive and inclusive perspective to her work. At The Grange, Emotional Support Sessions are non-clinical and community- based. They do not replace medical, therapeutic or specialist mental health services. Instead, they offer accessible emotional support grounded in human connection, listening and care, helping people feel heard, supported and steadier without pathologising ordinary human experience.
