St. Giles Pantomime Society
St Giles with St Mary’s Pantomime/Theatre Society is a amateur theatre group who have performed an annual pantomime in Pontefract Town Hall for nearly eighty years.
It is a very family orientated Society with Performing Members aged from 5 to 75. A boast of the Society is that several families of three generations can be seen either onstage or involved front of house, backstage or in an administrative capacity.
There are many ways people can get involved – not just on stage. The show wouldn’t go on if there wasn’t an active, hard working committee and a talented production team. There are also opportunities to help sew costumes, move scenery, provide refreshments, work with children, arrange social events, undertake administrative functions which support with all the creative and practical arrangements required for a Society like St Giles.
