Pontefract and District Archaeology and History Society
Pontefract & District Archaeology & History Society, informally known as PontArc, is a constituted Society of subscribed members that was founded in 1957.
We have an annual programme of evening talks, which are usually held in the Small Ballroom of Carleton Grange on the third Fridays of the months September to April. The Spring/Summer months are set aside for our fieldwork or research projects. No prior knowledge or experience is required to join us, just an interest in relevant subjects. Paying guests are also welcome at our talks – come along and meet us! We aim to make all our events sociable, enjoyable and informative. Check out the PontArc website for more information (link above), or email us at: enquiries@pontarc.org.uk
