Carleton Snooker Club
Carleton Snooker Club is a friendly and inclusive club based at Carleton Grange Community Centre in Pontefract.
Rooted in a long tradition of cue sports, the club offers a welcoming place for people to play, learn and enjoy snooker at their own pace, whether they are complete beginners or experienced players.
The club places equal value on enjoyment, skill development and good company. Sessions are relaxed and sociable, creating an environment where players can improve their game while feeling part of a supportive community.
Coaching is available through a qualified WPBSA Level 2 Snooker Coach, offering structured support for players who would like to develop their technique, confidence and understanding of the game. This includes beginner guidance, intermediate development and more advanced one to one coaching, tailored to individual ability and goals.
Alongside coaching, the club provides opportunities for regular play, practice and friendly competition, encouraging members to progress naturally while enjoying the social side of the club. Players of all ages and backgrounds are welcome, and new members are always encouraged to get involved.
As part of the wider community life at Carleton Grange, Carleton Snooker Club contributes to a shared ethos of participation, learning and connection, offering a space where people can spend time, develop a skill and enjoy a classic game in good surroundings.
