A PLACE FOR EVERYONE ACCESS TO ALL THE GRANGE
The Grange has been part of Carleton’s story for generations.

Originally built in the late 19th century, the house was once a private residence before being gifted for community use in the mid-20th century. Over the years, it has served as a meeting place, youth club, nursery, arts hub, and cultural landmark for Pontefract residents.

In 2025, a dedicated group of local volunteers came together to breathe new life into the building and establish the Carleton Grange Trust, ensuring that The Grange would continue to serve the community for years to come.

Today, the building blends heritage charm with modern facilities, offering a warm, flexible space that hosts everything from societies and local groups to larger scale cultural events.
